Sangria is a delicious cocktail that is used to many different seasons and occasions. There are many different ways to make it including with white and red wine, vodka, champagne, and more. Here are some of our favorite home recipes for sangria to try making some of your very own, if you’re over 21 years old of course.

Best Red Sangria Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 1 750ml bottle of red wine 
  • 1/2 cup brandy 
  • 1 apple, sliced 
  • 2 oranges, one sliced and one juiced 
  • 1 lemon, sliced 
  • optional: maple syrup or honey to sweeten 
  • optional: sparkling water 
  • garnish with extra orange slices 

Instructions: 

  1. Dice the apple, orange, and lemon into small pieces. Make sure to leave the peels on and toss them into the pitcher along with the orange juice. 
  2. Pour the wine, brandy and any sweetener into the pitcher. Then stir everything together until it’s all combined. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. The longer it sits, the more time the flavors can meld together. 
  3. Serve this in individual glasses over ice. Then top with sparkling water if you’d like!

Easy Christmas Sangria Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 1 bottle Red Wine 
  • 2 cups Vodka 
  • 3 cups Fresca Soda 
  • 2 cups Limeade 
  • 12 oz Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate 
  • 36 oz. Lime Soda Water (lacroix or other brand) 
  • 3 Oranges 
  • 1 cup Cranberries 
  • 3 Limes 

Instructions: 

  1. Slice oranges & limes. Combine sliced fruit, cranberries, and vodka in a large pitcher. Let this rest in the fridge for at least one hour. 
  2. Once the fruit has “rested” in the vodka. Remove it from the fridge. Add Fresca, orange juice concentrate, and limeade. Stir well to combine. 
  3. Pour in 1 bottle of wine. Stir well. 
  4. Top with 36 oz. lime flavored soda water. 
  5. Serve chilled, over ice. Enjoy!

Fall Sangria Recipe with Apple Cider and Bourbon

Ingredients: 

  • 1 bottle dry red wine 
  • 1/2 cup bourbon 
  • 1 cup apple cider 
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced 
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced 
  • 3 cinnamon sticks 
  • 2-inch knob fresh ginger, thinly sliced 
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions: 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large jar or carafe.  
  2. Refrigerate overnight, or up to 3 days. 
  3. Pour over ice and enjoy!

White Sangria Recipe

Ingredients: 

  • 1 (750mL) bottle chilled white wine
  • ½ cup fruit flavored liqueur*
  • 1 cup chilled white grape or white peach juice
  • 3 cups fresh berries
  • 1 large peach, sliced
  • 1 large lime, sliced

Instructions: 

  1. Place the fruit in the bottom of a large pitcher. Add wine, liqueur, and juice and stir gently until combined. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Caramel Apple Sangria

Ingredients: 

  • 1 liter bottle of white wine 
  • 8 cups fresh apple cider 
  • 1 cup unflavored or caramel vodka 
  • 4-5 apples, chopped 
  • 1/4 cup caramel syrup (plus more for garnishing) 

Instructions: 

  1. Place chopped apples in the bottom of a large pitcher then drizzle the caramel syrup over top. 
  2. Add the white wine, apple cider and vodka, then stir well to combine 
  3. Place pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least four hours before serving. 
  4. Before serving, swirl additional caramel sauce around the inside of the glass.
  5. Fill glass with chilled sangria, including some of the apples, and serve with a straw

Easy Mexican Sangria

Ingredients: 

  • 3 cups Red Wine (1 bottle-750ml)(Recommend Spanish wine such as Rioja) 
  • 1 cup orange juice (no pulp) 
  • 1/2 cup Triple sec or Cointreau 
  • 1/2 cup Rum or brandy(I used Malibu Rum) 
  • 1 orange, sliced 
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks 
  • 1-liter lemon-lime soda (optional) 

Instructions: 

  1. In a large pitcher, combine wine, orange juice, triple sec, rum, and orange slices. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight, the longer it sits in the pitcher the more flavorful it will be. 
  2. Add frozen pineapple chunks to sangria 30 minutes prior to serving. Pour sangria into a glass and top with a little lemon-lime soda(optional).
