Cinco de Mayo is celebrated every year on May 5th. It is observed in honor of the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. People all over the world celebrate the day by organizing parades, enjoying music, throwing fiestas, and by eating and drinking Mexican cuisine. We have put together a list of some of our favorite places to grab the best authentic Mexican food in the Saratoga County, so you can go out and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with great food and drinks!

El Mexicano

Take your Cinco de Mayo celebration over to El Mexicano, where they are known for their chefs authentic Mexican cooking including menu items like burritos, tamales, enchiladas, tacos, and fajitas. They also have margaritas and sweet desserts. They use fresh ingredients and outdoor seating is now available.

Cantina serves fresh, contemporary Mexican and Southwest food and exceptional margaritas. Unfortunately, not in time for the Cinco de Mayo festivities, but they will be opening a rooftop bar over the summer of this year!

Tatu Tacos & Tequila

Tatu’s menu features food from the Yucatán Peninsula region of Mexico, home to the ancient Mayan civilization. The food has its own style, different than traditional Mexican fare. The cuisine was heavily influenced by the Mayan, Caribbean, Spanish, African, and Middle Eastern cultures.
