The Adirondack Park has over six million acres of hiking trails and peaks, ponds, and lakes to experience nature. This day trip is great for people who love hiking, boating, fishing, or simply just love being outdoors. Less than an hour drive from Saratoga Springs!

Take a few beautiful country roads to either Manchester or Bennington Vermont. Both locations are a little over an hour drive to get to. Bennington is a great spot for history buffs with historical locations like the Bennington Battle Monument. If you are more into shopping, Manchester has a premium outlet spot to catch the best deals! 

Less than a half hour away from Saratoga, lies the great tourist attraction of Lake George Village. This is a great day trip near Saratoga Springs for the entire family. If you enjoy water activities like swimming, boating, or parasailing spend the day out on the lake. You can always go shopping in the village or at the premium outlets just outside the village too. Don’t forget to check out the historical Fort William Henry too right in the village.

You can also spend the day at the Glimmerglass State Park at the public beach to go swimming or enjoy the park’s nature trails. Just an hour and a half drive from Saratoga! 

NYC 

While a trip to NYC might take closer to three hours, you can still make a day trip there by car, bus, or train! There is an endless supply of activities for the entire family. You can see a show on Broadway or one of the city’s many theaters. Stop in to see a baseball game at Yankee Stadium. You can even take the more historical approach by taking a tour of the statue of Liberty or 9/11 Memorial Museum.
